Away Game Day Info
Saturday, March 16th, Kickoff 12:00pm
We’ve seen two games played and have no points to show for it, though there seems to have emerged an near-unanimous consensus that the penalty that lead to RSL’s game winning goal should not have been called. All of the blurry screenshots assembled into photo essays, angry screeds on social media and $2.50 in change will get you a mediocre cup of over-roasted coffee from a ubiquitous Seattle cafe chain.
Houston, on the other hand, has yet to finish a league game without earning points, though they did fall 3-0 on aggregate to Tigres UANL from Mexico in CONCACAF Champions League in a 2 game series that wrapped up this Tuesday. Will the shorter week necessitate squad rotation and give the Whitecaps a chance? I happen to know the answer to this question*, I’m just not going to tell you. The fact that the weather hasn’t turned to “Microwaving a bowl of water on high” yet seems to play in the Whitecaps favour. Fingers crossed.
